Planning application for Chepstow Castle

Stop Press!!

Cadw have been notified of the Chepstow Castle Planning Application submitted today for a five phase development commencing with St Marten’s Tower!!

Plans for the proposed five storey conversion of the Grade I * listed St Marten’s Tower have been submitted for Outline planning this week and are available for viewing on the Monmouthshire Planning Portal.

The proposals include a Penthouse apartment with Lantern Light with superb views overlooking the Wye River and Castle Terrace that was built with local quarried stone from remains of the Castle Walls in 1805.

The top floor and fourth floor will be luxury apartments with the lower and middle floors divided into affordable units to supply the housing requirements in Chepstow at the present time.

Good news for Chepstow residents or not said the local Mayor, “ We shall see what the public opinion is on this development but I suspect there will be a great deal of opposition to these plans”

I have made some exciting changes and have decided to follow my passion for creativity by shifting my professional focus.

I have swapped my Energy Certification role for something that I find more interesting – 3D design and visualisation for architects.

If that’s something you’ve been aiming to provide but haven’t had time to get to grips with the software yet, now you can.

I use ARCHICAD BIM (Building Information Modelling) for architects all across the UK. It helps their clients share their vision and to ultimately helps great designs come to life by adding a new dimension to their ideas.

JG3Design due to their training and experience as a Building Surveyor specialise in Listed Buildings, Renovations, Conversions and Public

Venues and obviously will advise with Energy related Construction and Design constraints due to our 12 year long experience in this field as accredited SAP/iSBEM assessors and EPC providers.

This new website reflects the changes, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you could use some help with Building Regulation Submission quality 3D modelling.

See you soon!
